Surgery Center Infection Control Consultant Phenelle Segal to Present at Florida Society of ASCs Annual Meeting

Phenelle Segal, RN, CIC, founder of Florida-based Infection Control Consulting Services (ICCS), will present at the 2017 Florida Society of Ambulatory Surgical Centers (FSASC) Annual Conference & Trade Show.

The FSASC conference takes places July 12-14 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin in Orlando.

Phenelle, an FSASC member, is scheduled to present on Wednesday, July 12, from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Her topic is "CMS Requirements and Infection Prevention." The description of her session is as follows:

"Infection prevention in the ASC setting continues to be a large area of focus for CMS and this session will discuss the changes made to the surveyor's worksheet in 2015. Each item listed on the worksheet will be addressed in detail and will include ongoing deficiencies noted during onsite visits."

The annual FSASC meeting brings together ASC professionals with industry experts and vendors. The mission of FSASC is to "...advance the ASC industry through community awareness and government advocacy and to promote the professionalism of its members through education, networking and the exchange of information."
