A comprehensive, state of the art, regulatory compliant, customized Infection Control Policy and Procedure Manual for Long Term Care published in January 2007 is now available directly through Infection Control Consulting Services, LLC (ICCS). This manual encompasses all of the requirements and needs for a comprehensive Infection Control Program. This includes updated information regarding Act 52 of 2007/SB 968.
Staff members who are responsible for Infection Control such as DONs, ADONs, Staff Development Directors/Managers etc., will find this manual very “user friendly”, eliminating the need for the responsible parties to “reinvent the wheel”. In addition to a printed and bound copy, your facility will receive a CD-ROM for your use. ICCS will notify individual clients when updates are available for the manual. ICCS will distribute these updates for a nominal fee to its clients upon request.
The policy and procedure manual was written to include all aspects of an Infection Control Program for Long Term Care including but not limited to:
- Clostridium difficile management
- Norovirus management
- OSHA’s BloodBorne pathogen exposure control plan (BBP-ECP)
- OSHA’s Tuberculosis exposure control plan (TB-ECP)
