Phenelle Segal, the company founder, is a Registered Nurse with 27 years of extensive Infection Control experience. Certified in Infection Control (CIC), she has directed programs in acute care facilities in Maryland, California and Pennsylvania. Phenelle's management experience ranges from large teaching hospitals to community hospitals, and a nationwide renowned Rehabilitation hospital. The company specializes in assisting Long Term Care facilities with their Infection Prevention needs. Most recently, her services have expanded to include assisting Ambulatory Surgery Centers with meeting the CMS “Conditions for Coverage” requirements. She conducts extensive education for healthcare organizations, community groups, and medical/dental practices.

Phenelle is under contract to the PA Patient Safety Authority as their Infection Prevention Analyst, assisting them with mandatory statewide HAI reporting. She authors quarterly articles for the Authority and her articles can be accessed by clicking on this link: Articles. She recently chaired the acute/long-term care workgroup of the "Fight MRSA! Alliance in the Philadelphia region". Most recently, she was hired by the Health Care Improvement Foundation as a consultant to assist with the Southeastern PA Regional Clostridium difficile Collaborative. She has assisted acute care facilities with surveillance for State compliance and has also conducted audits of medical records for the State of Pennsylvania.

Phenelle is active in many professional and community associations/organizations including certification by the Commonwealth of PA's Bureau of Minority and Women Business Opportunities. She has authored numerous articles for health care journals relating to various topics in Infectious Diseases and Infection Control. Her Infection Control Manual for Long Term Care and most recently written manual for Ambulatory Surgery are customized products that have been well received by many facilities nationwide. Phenelle has appeared in numerous newspaper articles throughout the Delaware Valley, and was interviewed by Philadelphia’s Action News Channel 6 – Healthcheck for a discussion about MRSA.
